Christmas lights in Barcelona city. I have ‘photoshop’ all the people out while I painted.

This piece had its challenges, painting in dark/night tones as well as buildings and perspective. It took longer than expected. These pieces are teaching me something new everyday. Layering is key, starting with soft tones and then slowly building up on that. Patience is also key and not stopping when it gets difficult.

Loved exploring this mountain, Montjuïc, which felt like a an mountain of sport fields. It felt like being in Athens when we got to this communications tower. At first we thought it was some spaceship monument. A mountain of sport fields and pavilions and as we read up about it, we learnt that it was where the 1992 Olympic games were held. The tower was installed for the broadcasting of it.

The simple ones seem to be the hardest ones.
